Westminster receives $68K grant for joining energy program by Brett Lake...
Westminster will receive around $68,000 in grant money following the Mayor and Common Council’s approval Monday to adopt energy efficiency and renewal policies.
The approval of the policies makes the city part of the Maryland Energy Administration’s Smart Energy Communities Program, in which the city agrees to attempt to reduce electricity consumption and use renewable energy in city-owned buildings.
