Geiman received a proclamation by the commissioners for FFA week at the
Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 open session of the Carroll County Maryland Board of
Commissioners.

WHEREAS,
the FFA and agricultural education provide a strong foundation for the youth of
America and the future of the food, fiber and natural resources systems; and
WHEREAS,
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential
for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural
education; and
WHEREAS,
students whose lives are impacted by FFA and agricultural education achieve
academic growth, strengthen American agriculture and provide leadership to
build healthy local communities, a strong nation and a sustainable world; and
WHEREAS,
FFA helps members prepare for careers in agribusiness, agrimarketing, science,
communications, education, horticulture, production, natural resources, and forestry;
and
WHEREAS,
FFA promotes citizenship, volunteerism, patriotism, and cooperation,
Now,
therefore, we, the Board of Commissioners of Carroll County, do hereby proclaim
February 20-27, 2016, as FFA week in Carroll County and invite all citizens to
take due note of this observance.
