New Yoga Session Begins in JulyTim Hurley Yoga

We've just announced a 15-week session of yoga set to begin in mid-July.  Sessions will take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 pm.  Cost is $150 for CCAC Members or $165 for Non-Members.

Tim Hurley has developed a very loyal following of students at the Arts Center, and typically we turn people away for these sessions, so register early...don't be disappointed!

The Carroll County Arts Council is located in the magnificently renovated Carroll Arts Center, formerly the Carroll Theatre in downtown Westminster. The art deco building now houses a 263-seat theatre, the Tevis Gallery, two art classrooms and offices.

The purpose of the Carroll County Arts Council is to serve citizens and visitors by acting as a link between the arts community and education, business, government, the media, and the private sector. The CCAC produces public programs, provides grants and scholarships and serves as a primary source for cultural information in Carroll County.

This "green" show will feature artists who bring awareness to the beauty and functionality that can be found in landfills, recycle bins and dumpsters.
Artists include: Kevin Dayhoff, Heather Hodge, Joy Miller, Roger Miller, Beverly Reidinger, Virginia Sperry and The Trashy Women Collective. Sponsored by the Maryland Heartland Sustainable Living Fair.

"Balancing Act: Airborne Art"

Mobiles, kinetic sculpture and art that seems to precariously float in space. Watch them bob, turn and flutter in response to the air currents. This fascinating show will feature works that follow in the footsteps of Alexander Calder, and are created by Bob Sapora of Westminster, Rick Eisenmann of Baltimore and Andrew Cronan of Silver Spring.
