Caterer serves up fare with international flair for G-8

CAMP ROUND MEADOW -- It's been a long week for ML Carroll,
she said Friday night as she leaned against a wood-paneled wall in a cabin at
Camp Round Meadow. A helicopter could be heard whirling off in the distance.
Leaders from the G-8 countries began arriving Friday evening
for a round of talks that would last through today. Along with them came
hundreds of journalists and other support staff. At least a few local residents
were on hand to help keep some of the hungry travelers fed.
But Carroll, president of Canapés Catering, which is based
in Frederick and also provides catering for ThorpeWood, a
mountain retreat in Thurmont, didn't even initially plan to be here. Word-of-mouth,
