WJZ: Mount Airy, Md., Elects Growth Planner New Mayor

MOUNT AIRY, Md. (AP) ― Voters in Mount Airy have chosen a new mayor who has worked to control growth of the town on the Frederick-Carroll county line.
Pat Rockinberg, vice chairman of the town's planning and zoning commission, defeated Councilwoman Wendi Peters with 54 percent of the vote Monday.
Rockinberg succeeds David Pyatt, who resigned in December amid complaints from City Hall staff and Town Council members that he bullied people.
Pyatt claimed he was forced out by those who favor more rapid growth in the town of nearly 9,000 people, about 25 miles west of Baltimore.

I think Wendi has too much baggage and is plagued by anger management, communication, and trust/ethics issues to ever be elected mayor. The ghost of Zeltman, too, will forever haunt her as many town residents vividly recall that unfortunate time and the part Peters played in it. Seems where ever there is intrigue and skulduggery Ms. Peters, name appears. I'm not accusing her of any specific wrong doing - I'm just stating what I have heard over the years (and witnessed at town meetings) and the fact that I don't believe she will ever be elected mayor or possibly even to another term on the Town Council.
