Re: OPEN HOUSE AT LOCAL FARMERS MARKET

On Saturday November 18 the Carroll County Farmer’s Market will hold an Open House.

Free refreshments for the customers, including cake and punch will be provided.

There will be a candy cane drawing for discount coupons for participating vendor stands.

Now in its 35th year the Carroll County Farmers Market has a long history as the place to go for quality hand crafts and home made food items. There are many different vendors each week.

Many of the craft items are one of a kind.

They have decorative pillows, handbags, jewelry, clothing, pottery, painted wood crafts, candles, skin care products, baskets and other items. Christmas ornaments and other home decorations are also available.

The popular baked good stands will be filled with home made cakes, pies, cookies and breads. Other food items include candy, jams, jellies and gourmet dips and sauces.

Many vendors offer samples of their products to taste.

Farm fresh eggs are also available, as well as Emu Products, herb plants and house plants.

The cafeteria is open during market hours for breakfast and lunch.

The egg sandwiches and the pancake breakfasts are great. Home made slices of pie and cake are popular desserts.

The Carroll County Farmer’s Market is held in Westminster, Maryland at the Agricultural Center, located off of Smith Avenue adjacent to the Farm Museum. Hours for Christmas Market are from 8am-2pm.

There is no admission and improved parking is free.

We are handicapped accessible. Busses are welcome. Follow the signs “To Ag Center” For more info call ANITA at 410-848-7748
