Five Companies Respond to Westminster Brush Fire By Kym Byrnes Tuesday, April 10, 2012



No structural damage resulted from a brush fire in Westminster Tuesday afternoon.


At approximately 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, Westminster Fire Department dispatched a crew to a brush fire at North Center Street and High Acre Drive in Westminster.

According to Public Information Officer Kevin Dayhoff, the fire was brought under control at 1:26 p.m. He said five Carroll County fire companies responded, including Westminster.

Gay rights activists and Occupy Charleston chant 'Rick, Rick, Rick, bigot, bigot, bigot.'

THE CITADEL — About 20 demonstrators crashed the Rick Santorum results party at the military college in Charleston.

As Santorum closed his speech focusing on building strong family values, a gay rights activist said: "Except when you're gay" and threw a handful of glitter in the air.
