NPR Executives Caught on Video Making Bigoted Comments About Jews and Conservatives in Meeting with "Muslim Brotherhood"

CONSERVATIVE NEWS FROM THE FRONT is your daily wrap-up of conservative and Tea Party news.  ConservativeHQ.com is a community of principled, constitutional conservatives.  For media inquiries, contact Bob Sturm or Ryan Rogge at (703) 392-7676.

CHQ Special News Alert:

NPR Executives Caught on Video Making Bigoted Comments About Jews and Conservatives in Meeting with "Muslim Brotherhood"In a shocking undercover video released today, James O'Keefe (the man behind exposing ACORN) and his team of investigative journalists at The Project Veritas secretly filmed a meeting between senior executives at National Public Radio (NPR) and "Muslim Brotherhood" agents. The undercover journalists posed as Muslim Brotherhood affiliates to offer NPR $5 million "out of concern" for the GOP's defunding  efforts, and to lessen the "Jew influence" and "Jew money" going to NPR.
The bigoted reaction from the NPR executives is truly alarming, including the characterization of the Tea Party as "seriously racist, racist people," and the agreement that Jews control the media. And the footage comes just one day after NPR President and CEO Vivian Schiller challenged critics of NPR's government funded news to find any evidence of liberal bias in NPR's coverage. Read the CHQ exclusive story, and see the undercover video now at ConservativeHQ.com.
Join CHQ's Action Campaign:
Tell NPR Management to Terminate NPR Executives for their Bigoted Comments Towards Jews and ConservativesThe bigoted anti-Semetic and anti-conservative comments by senior NPR executives revealed today by undercover journalists show they have absolutely no credibility to work for any organization that claims to be a news agency. NPR made the same claim against Juan Williams when he was fired for his comments on Fox News. Now it's time for NPR's management to apply those standards against their exposed bigoted executives. Take action to pressure NPR to immediately terminate their bigoted executives by signing CHQ's petition now: www.conservativehq.com/nprbigotry

More special NPR coverage:
A History of Bias - Why the Public Funding of NPR Must EndNPR has a long history of using billions in taxpayer dollars to promote a political agenda. The government newscasts have openly mocked Christians and Jews. And NPR's "coverage" has falsely accused conservative author and radio host Mark Levin of advocating violence, while one NPR reporter has expressed her hope on air for Senator Jesse Helms to contract AIDS. Now is the time for the federal subsides of NPR to end.
CHQ Poll: Would you support a Republican candidate who did not support defunding NPR?
CHQ Poll: If Congress defunds NPR, should it have to pay back the taxpayer funding it has received in previous years?

TROOPERS NAB INTERSTATE BATHROOM BANDITS - IMPORTANT CRIME PREVENTION INFORMATION FOR FEMALE TRAVELERS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 7, 2011

TROOPERS NAB INTERSTATE BATHROOM BANDITS - IMPORTANT CRIME PREVENTION INFORMATION FOR FEMALE TRAVELERS
(PERRYVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police have arrested two people and are obtaining warrants for two more who are accused of stealing credit cards from older women while they were using interstate rest rooms in Harford and Cecil counties.

The accused are identified as Ishia B. Cason, 31, and Yvette A. Jones, 46, both of Baltimore, Md.  Both Cason and Jones are charged with using/possessing credit card issued to another, identity theft, theft over $10,000, fraud and forgery.  Jones is also charged on bench warrant from Washington County for failure to appear for trial on similar offenses.  Both women are each being held on $150,000 bail.

State Police are obtaining warrants for two additional suspects who include female and male from Baltimore.  The male is currently incarcerated on an unrelated charge.

Both Cason and Jones were arrested on March 4, 2011, after Maryland State Police from the JFK Highway Barrack, with the assistance of officers from the Baltimore Police Department and Baltimore County Police Department served search warrants at their homes.  Police recovered two fur coats, three large flat screen televisions, video game systems and accessories, jewelry, gift cards, dozens of pairs of shoes, clothing, laptop computer, prescription glasses, and multiple store receipts documenting purchases with stolen credit cards.  Police also recovered 2004 Porsche and 2007 Toyota Camry that were believed to have been used in the commission of these crimes.

The current charges against the suspects involve three victims, all of whom are women in their sixties who had their credit cards stolen while using the rest rooms at either the Maryland House on I-95 in Harford County, or the Chesapeake House, on I-95 in Cecil County, in December 2010, January 2011, and February 2011.  The victims reported they entered bathroom stall and either hung their pocketbook on hook on the right side of the stall, set it on the floor, or placed it behind them on the toilet.

Although the suspects are currently charged in thefts involving three victims, Maryland State Police are investigating number of other similar thefts.  Investigators believe the thieves work as team, with lookout on the parking lot spotting potential victims as they enter the rest area buildings.  The lookout provides description to the thieves inside, one or more of whom are in the rest room.  Those thieves often pose as rest area employees who meet the intended victim in the bathroom and actually guide her to stall by saying the one she was headed to is broken, or opening the stall door to show her it is available.

Once the woman is inside, the team creates diversion, often by knocking on the stall door.  While the woman’s attention is focused on the door, the other suspect reaches into the stall and steals her wallet.  Sometimes only credit cards and cash are removed.  Sometimes the entire wallet and/or purse are removed.  Often, the victim is unsure if she brought her pocketbook into the restroom and may be miles down the interstate before she realizes something is wrong.

Through investigation and evidence examination, State Police believe the suspects then immediately used the stolen credit cards to make multiple purchases of gift cards and the other items found during the search warrants.   The purchases were usually made before the victims realized their credit cards had been stolen, or at least before they were able to report the thefts to their credit card companies.
State Police are urging travelers to be aware of this and other types of ruses criminals may use.  If possible, women should leave pocket books, or at least their wallets and charge cards, locked in the trunk of their vehicles when stopping at rest areas.  If they need those items for purchases while at the rest area, they should keep those items on their person, such as carrying them in pocket of their clothing.  These thieves used an obvious opportunity and diversion to victimize travelers.

Also, persons should be aware of people speaking to them at locations like this to determine if they are actually employees of the rest area.  Employees will usually have name plates and some type of uniform.  The thieves in these cases wore regular street clothes and had no name plates or employment identification.  If someone thinks they have been approached by an individual posing as an employee, they should report the incident to the rest area management immediately.

As always, motorists are reminded to also keep all valuables locked in the trunk or completely out of sight in their vehicles.  This includes GPS devices, laptops, cash, wallets, and pocketbooks.  Maryland State Police are working with the management company that oversees both rest areas on I-95 in northern Maryland to implement crime prevention measures and reduce opportunities for thefts and other crimes.

This investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.

Why Is Facebook Deleting Photos Of Pregnant Women?

Why Is Facebook Deleting Photos Of Pregnant Women?

A funny thing happened when this blog post about celebrity baby bump photo shoots was posted by an administrator on VH1's Facebook page: Facebook deleted it...  http://jezebel.com/#!5776685/why-is-facebook-deleting-photos-of-pregnant-women

[...]

"A spokesman for Facebook told us, "We don't have a special standard for pregnant women. Our policies prohibit nudity and are designed to ensure Facebook remains a safe and trusted environment for everyone, including the many children (over the age of 13) who use the service," and promised to get back to us after investigating this particular incident, but said it was "almost certainly a mistake." Six days of following up later, we haven't gotten an answer.

"So for now, we're left to wonder: Did a robot get really grossed out by Pregnancy magazine's cover line, "Pimp my stroller?" ... http://jezebel.com/#!5776685/why-is-facebook-deleting-photos-of-pregnant-women

Steve Berryman - The Tentacle: Absent a "Balance of Power"

Steve Berryman's latest column, (originally for and declined by The Frederick News-Post) ...... is on TheTentacle today: http://www.thetentacle.com/ShowArticle.cfm?mydocid=4267

Absent A “Balance of Power”
Steven R. Berryman

Is the Middle East on fire with revolution simply as a domino effect born of circumstances? Are public labor unions suddenly at odds with their government simply because of some newly empowering force? There are greater, overarching factors in play in both cases, not fully recognized.

Just as nature abhors a vacuum, the world misses the yin and yang of a past-polarized world with two recognized “superpowers.” The sides were fairly matched, a polarized world largely kept peace with itself, known as détente, as nations were all on one side – and beholden to – or the other.

At the same time, big-labor unrest was kept in check as money flowed as freely as promises to future generations; unions were awarded raises, adjustments, and pensions without examination on spreadsheet, or in any other way for that matter. Current dollars flowed, and satisfaction was maintained between union bosses getting what they wanted and a government maintaining its constituency by mortgaging future office holders.

The phrase “kicking the can down the road” works.

Balance of power concerning labor relations was easily kept harmonious for years until the money ran out. In Wisconsin, it has been often reported that public workers now easily out-earn their private sector counterparts; this circumstance will surely not be allowed to endure in the current declining economy as forces balance out with reality...  http://www.thetentacle.com/ShowArticle.cfm?mydocid=4267

Kevin Dayhoff The Tentacle: SCOTUS Westboro Decision - A Victory for Free Speech?

March 4, 2011

A Victory for Free Speech?
By a vote of 8-1, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a long awaited decision Wednesday over the collision of free speech, common sense and decency and our right to privacy in the case of Albert Snyder v. Fred W. Phelps, Sr., and the Westboro Baptist Church.

The Supreme Court ruled against the father of Westminster native Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, whose March 10, 2006, funeral was picketed by members of the Kansas-based church. Corporal Snyder was 20 years-old when he died March 3, 2006, in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

The irony abounds that the Westboro band of graceless sociopaths have chosen over the years to disparage and heap emotional abuse on families at the funerals of the very men and women in uniform, who have died defending the right of these creeps to exercise their right to free speech.

The controversy that initiated the test of the limits of free speech began shortly after Snyder’s death. In a paroxysmal milieu, the Snyder family is an otherwise unlikely fulcrum for all this drama... http://www.thetentacle.com/ShowArticle.cfm?mydocid=4265

Controlling the coyote population

I recently received this in an e-mail...  Hat Tip: Grammy EFB

The Sierra Club and the U.S. Forest Service were presenting an alternative to the Wyoming ranchers for controlling the coyote population. It seems that after years of the ranchers using the tried and true method of shooting or trapping the predators, the Sierra Club had a "more humane" solution to this issue.

What they were proposing was for the animals to be captured alive. The males would then be castrated and let loose again. This was ACTUALLY proposed by the Sierra Club and by the U.S. Forest Service. All of the ranchers thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes.

Finally an old fellow wearing a big cowboy hat in the back of the conference room stood up, tipped his hat back and said; "Son, I don't think you understand our problem here... these coyotes ain't screwin' our sheep... they're eatin' 'em!"

The meeting never really got back to order. .
