Tumblr users have come out in full force against the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), the microblogging service announced yesterday.

Earlier this week, Tumblr set up a page where its users could sign up and receive a phone call from the company with talking points about SOPA. From there, the company connected users with their U.S. representatives to voice concerns about the bill.

All told, Tumblr said yesterday, 87,834 calls were placed to representatives. The average call lasted 53 seconds, while the longest came in at 31 minutes, the company said. A total of 1,293 total hours were spent talking to representatives... http://news.cnet.com/8301-13506_3-57327681-17/tumblr-users-fight-sopa-with-87834-calls-to-congress/?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=pulsenews

HuffPost The Media: Chris Matthews, Larry Elder Have Incredibly Hostile Conversation

Chris Matthews, Larry Elder Have Incredibly Hostile Conversation

11/18/11

Chris Matthews and conservative radio host Larry Elder had an unbelievably hostile conversation earlier in the week.

The Hollywood Reporter caught wind of the chat when Elder wrote about it in his syndicated column.

"You know things didn't go well when, a few minutes after the interview concludes, Matthews' booker emails my producer: 'I wish you would've let me know that Larry was planning on attacking Chris,'" Elder wrote.

Whatever it was, the interview was definitely not a friendly one. Elder started by asking Matthews, "do you still feel that, as a journalist, it's your job to help Obama succeed?" … http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/18/chris-matthews-larry-elder-hostile_n_1101342.html?ir=Media

I'm sad to report that chaos and disorder were discovered in friend's office.

This my friends, colleagues and countrymen, is box abuse. Always remember, you can never sacrifice order in the pursuit of progress. Take a memo: just because you are upset with the IRS, you should not take out your frustrations on a poor innocent box. You know who you are. Repent. I'm just saying...

A hint of box abuse in Westminster. I'm sad to report that chaos and disorder were discovered in friend's office.

The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic collective nouns for the various groups of animals

The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic collective nouns for the various groups of animals. We are all familiar with
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/herd-of-cows.jpg
a Herd of cows,
http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/flock-of-chickens..jpeg
a Flock of chickens,
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/school-of-fish.jpeg
a School of fish
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/gaggle-of-geese.jpeg
and a Gaggle of geese.
However, less widely known is:
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/pride-of-lions.jpeg
a Pride of lions,
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/murder-of-crows.jpg
a Murder of crows
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/rooks-and-ravens.jpg
(as well as their cousins the rooks and ravens),
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/exaltation-of-doevs.jpg
an Exaltation of doves and, presumably
because they look so wise:
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/parliament-of-owls.jpg
a Parliament of owls.
 http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/baboons.jpg
Now consider a group of Baboons.
They are the loudest, most dangerous,
most obnoxious, most viciously aggressive
and least intelligent of all primates.
And what is the proper collective noun for
a group of baboons? ? ? Believe it or not …….
a Congress!
http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/congress1.jpg
A CONGRESS OF BABOONS!
I guess that pretty much explains the things that come out of Washington !

http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/baboon.jpeg

http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/baboom3.jpg

http://thefamily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/baboon2.jpg
You just can't make this stuff up.
Go green – Recycle Congress in 2012 !!!
