Mt. Airy Campaign Headquarters Opened by Carroll County Republican Central Committee - On Monday, Sen. David Brinkley and I attended the opening of the second Republican Headquarters in Carroll County. It is located at 203 East Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy (in the building that formerly housed "Full Service Salon"). Yard signs, bumper stickers, and candidate literature are available. The hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m on Saturday.

Voter Registration Deadline - October 16 at 9:00 p.m. - Please use the excitement of the Presidential campaign and the first debate to encourage your family, neighbors, colleagues and friends to register to vote if they have not already done so. Absentee Ballot Deadline - The deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed is Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Early voting - Early voting starts Saturday, Oct. 27, through Nov. 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m, with Sunday hours being from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Election Day is from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
