Zumba combines Latin music, simple dance steps, and body-shaping movements. The mix of cardiovascular workout with resistance training gives participants the benefits of burning fat and calories while toning the whole body. Zumba dancing does not feel like a fitness workout!” (https://www.reference.com/art-literature/points-describe-zumba-dancing-d8917eced19bbf62) South Carroll’s own Ms. Marks will be leading the Zumbathon! We look forward to dancing the night away with you! Other entertainment will include a 50/50 raffle, hula hoop contest, and best dancer contest. Healthy refreshments will also be available! Annie – South Carroll High School

South Carroll High School continues to present its season of classic productions with their upcoming musical, Thomas Meehan’s Annie, which will take place in the auditorium of South Carroll High School. Performances will be held on March 3, 4, 10, and 11 at 7:00 p.m. and March 4 and 11 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children under 18 and may be reserved at scstagelighters.org/tickets.

Annie is a young orphan who has always dreamed of finding her birth parents. However, as she ventures out of the orphanage to find them, she faces many challenges that land her back with the awful Miss Hannigan. One day she finds herself being invited to stay at the home of a billionaire over the holiday season. This story is a timeless classic of family and finding a place in the world.

South Carroll Stagelighters hopes the audience will leave feeling as though they can take on whatever ‘Tomorrow’ brings after seeing their production of Annie. The production is directed by Caitlin Adolph with technical direction by Alyson Marks.
