20030000 vizcacha Atacama Desert Chile

A vizcacha, close relative of the chinchilla, rests on an outcropping in Chile's Atacama Desert. These sleepy-eyed herbivores are among few species who thrive in the higher, drier regions of the Atacama. They make their living off the sparse vegetation and grasses that manage to grow in this forbidding desert.

  1. Neat vizcacha picture! I was doing a web search for the Woman's Club of Catonsville, where I am a member, and your name popped up.

Do you use Twitter.com? It is very fun (and free). You could even feed notifications of your blog updates there, and anyone on twitter "following" you would know about it.

My twitter page can be found at:

Also, I am planning on starting one for the Woman's Club of Catonsville. If you would like to "follow" that one, see:

    Have a great day,
