I’m watching Maryland Public Television – “Inventing La: The Chandlers and Their Times”

It is a fascinating tale family, journalistic, and political intrigue… Also of note is the dynamic that in the very early days, up until the late 1950s to early 1960s, the media bias of, at least the LA Times, was conservative, pro-business and Republican… Part of the story of the documentary is the transition of the paper from conservative to straight-down-the-middle, if not a liberal tilt…
