The white winter stuff hit Carroll County for the second time in as many days Tuesday.
Just last Saturday almost five inches of a light powdery snow fell on the area. Although Carroll missed the brunt of the storm that dumped as much as a foot of snow on the lower Eastern Shore, the wintry weather still made driving treacherous.
On Tuesday another three to six inches fell on the Westminster area, causing the Westminster street department snow removal crews to be out in force overnight clearing the city streets.
The wet-heavy snowfall Tuesday made for beautiful scenery as it stuck to the trees and shrubbery, but that was lost on drivers negotiating the slick winter mess on the roads.
