In this file photo, a Soldier's Cross stands in front of the
podium as speakers address the crowd during the annual Memorial Day service at
the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Sunday, May 30, 2010, in Rittman,
Ohio.
The cross, used to mark the area on a battlefield where a soldier was killed
and buried, was made using the soldier's rifle with the bayonet thrust into the
ground with his helmet placed on top and the boots placed in front.
