1984: WTTR expands its 6 a.m-to-sunset broadcast to 24 hours and erects two additional 309-foot towers to supplement the original tower of the same height. Broadcast power: 1,000 watts.

2005: Station bought by Sajak Broadcasting Corp. (as in Pat, the game show host). "Pat Sajak really believes in community radio," says station manager Dwight Dingle. "When he bought us he didn't change a thing."

Who listens? According to the station's promotional material, 66 percent of WTTR's listeners are 35 to 64 years old, 99 percent are homeowners and more than 80 percent have attended college or hold college degrees.
Location: For the past 56 years, WTTR 1470 has broadcast from the same building and same location in Westminster. Once on the edge of a cow pasture, the station's facilities are just up the hill from a large subdivision.
